Dual-degree programs
We offer two dual Bachelor’s degrees in conjunction with the Nordakademie in Elmshorn.
The degree in business administration gives you a sound basic knowledge of economics, covering a wide range of topics including politics and economy, rhetoric, intercultural skills and project management.
On the industrial engineering program, you learn how to analyze business processes both technically and economically, and deal with subjects related to engineering and economics.
In alternating between theory and practice, you prepare yourself for a junior position in our group. During your practical placements – including ones abroad – you become acquainted with many business fields and assume tasks with responsibility from the outset. Language courses and interpersonal skills training round off your degree. You are supervised by a mentor throughout the program. At the end, you write a Bachelor’s thesis about a technical / commercial problem or a topic from your practical experience at our company.
Requirements: advanced technical college certificate / Abitur (high-school diploma) or the equivalent thereof; temporary contract with Marquard & Bahls for the duration of the dual degree, going through a selection test at Nordakademie. This selection process includes intelligence, maths, English skills and basic specialist knowledge of the respective program. Course start: October 1 of every year
Duration: 7 Semesters
Tuition fees: We pay the tuition fees and give you an allowance.
Applications: Please apply via the online form between June and October to begin your degree in the October of the following year. Your application will be contingent on the Nordakademie’s selection procedure.
